An Atlas of Mirrors.

Just a couple a days ago, I took a trip to town and had a great time at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM). They were having the

Singapore Biennale 2016 art exhibition known as An Atlas of Mirrors.

It was an AMAZING showcase of art pieces that really impressed me and it makes me so excited to share with you all some photographs

that I took while I was there.

This was the first time that I actually went down to an art exhibition on my own and it allowed me to reflect in my own corner. To have a chance

to look at the world in a different perspective.

An image of the booklet they gave which showcases and explains all the art pieces.

I enjoyed this the most! It had a lot of mirrors in it, including mirrors which could turn on their own. I found a lot of meaning in it as it portrayed to me that where ever I looked, It was me. But a different side of me.

And to me, it shows that we as individuals are beauty no matter what and how we look. Also, looking into the mirror, allowed me to self-reflect. Who am I? What kind of person do I want to become?

This was a very interesting piece of art. The many mirrors allowed visitors to take a selfie in it resulting in the shape of our bodies to change. It was pretty interesting trying this out-

This was a very interesting and meaningful artwork that I enjoyed looking at. You would probably think I'm insane to like looking at these burnt, black tree barks and trunks.

Well, according to the writings, this artist literally took these REAL burnt trees to make this art to showcase about the problem of deforestation in today's society. After all, would you want to look at black burnt trees or bright green beautiful trees every day right?

I would like to conclude this photoblog for the day with this picture as it tells you when the event ends! You should totally head down to see the art pieces as it was an amazing view in my opinion.

This may have been my first time visiting an art museum, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you guys will too!

Much Love,

Amanda
