Reality hits?

Hey everybody? Whats up?

I'm doing really great right now haha. Who knew the first half of my first semester in poly would come to an end that fast? I really never expected it but all is good! Also, we are heading to Kluang tomorrow for camp infinity where we come to do some discussions on career options in the future and focusing on some of our soft skills etc. Pretty excited to be honest!

Today was the pre-camp and we had three guest speakers who came to share about their experiences in mass comm and the road to their successes! It was really inspiring to be honest! They were Kevin Ou (an internationally known photographer), Denise Tan (who is a children's book specialist) and Harry Corro (Radio personality and ALSO MY TUTOR HEH) They all came from different backgrounds but found their strengths and passions and are leading the best lives right now! How inspiring to hear their stories today and made me realise what about me? What is my story going to be? How is life going to be in 4 years time? Unemployed? hhAHAHAH jkjk.

But realistically though. What DOES the future hold? I think about this every day and to be honest: I do see my interests here and there and roughly know what I want to do in life. But...how am I going to achieve it? By the way, they brought up a really interesting topic today about whether to go uni or not to. Is a degree necessary? I personally don't want to go university though. I want to start work and explore the world after poly ends. If my parents are reading this. Please don't freak out. I personally believe that with the training we get here in NP, we will be prepared even if we don't go to uni. It's all about our determination and passion, if we desire so much to work at a certain place or to hold a job that we love, we will pull all stops to achieve it. I know it.

So. What am I doing right now to achieve that dream of mine? Coming up with my own magazine. yup. not easy I know. but at least something exiting that I want to work on woohoo. BANGERS magazine... its basically a lifestyle mag that encompasses the four things that I love: fashion, food, travel and illustrations. Yup. I recently found a new interesting in watercolour painting!
